Doors
In my Vietnam childhood, I spent hours drawing weapons and guns. In this heat, the fifth avenue door appeared like some sort of Aldous Huxley time machine of passionate raving.
An Arabesque of Heat Waves
This morning bob sent me a link to some Lebanese music bymarcel khalife. I drank some coffeee and went walking in the inferno, where I found scorched scrap of an Arabic newspaper. Somehow this with the heat inspired me to use the “mosaic” effect on my cam corder (something I’ve never found a good use for)… I was after the weird shimmer of heat waves that don’t quite come out in low rez video… that and everything looks odd too me in this intense heat, just from the sweat in my eyes and the general delirium of war and Castro.
