The rain let up and the life came out on the street and the children hiding behind bushes and laughing and shouting and crying and wiggling up and down in the puddles of sun.

Self Portrait as Klaus Kinsky reciting Goethe

Reflection On Glass
You wonder what will happen as the city becomes an enormous hall of mirrors.
Steel And Glass
On Friday’s walk I really wanted to see the glass going up on the Chelsea Gehry building. I’d heard bad things and I have to say It looks a little strange (though now doubt its some sort of green egineering to screen out too much direct sun… or something)… on the way up on the West Side I saw all the new Meier’s and few other things and I just kept thinking about Steel and Glass and how a lot of Recent New York architecture looks like something someone would’ve snorted coke off in the eighties… like those old glass stereo cabinets back when people had stereos so big you needed a cabinet: everything was flat surfaces, and shine and mirrors and inflated egos.
Chelsea Girls
After dropping off the cog, I walked over the bridge to Chelsea and world of water and glass. The Di Suvero seemed like shelter from the storm, but I still got soaked.
The Gaurd Cog
Been working like mad on this little guard cog for a friend. You can visit it in Williamsburg Brooklyn (North Seventh towards the water), where it will be chained to insure your safety… It nearly burst it’s cage today… as you can see above. I’m not certain the name of the beast, but maybe Tristan und Isolde works, or Siegfried und Roy…. up to the owners now….still, I’m curious about what you’d name such a thing? So send ideas. This is the exterior cousin of this cog. I may make more?
