Self Portrait as Klaus Kinsky reciting Goethe
I made this portrait for an unrelated e-book (Willoughby), but when I heard this Kinsky Reading, I realized this was a great alternate dialogue… I edited it to look more or less like a dubbed film
Playing with Google Video here…. It’s absolutely a beta and absolutely designed by engineers… impossible to get working (you need seperate software to load the videos)… it’s ugly to look at (I mean the interface), but on the bright side much more storage and higher resolutions…. and I suppose a larger potential audience than Vimeo… Play play play with it all…. Somehow Vimeo managed to crash itself while installing new hardware…. ? Curious.
Also curious, is that I have never read the translation of the poem and don’t speak German well enough to know what Goethe and Kinski are ranting about. I approached it more or less like the music in all my gifs and videos. I found the translation and linked to it above. I look forward to seeing what its all about and hoping that in some dada way, it all makes sense.
