That’s me doing a reading of a Sandburg poem. When I was young and pretentious as the days were long, I loved listening to records of Sandburg and Dylan Thomas reading poems. I still think Sandburg was a hell of a reader and I don’t know why he doesn’t get more credit for pioneering the folk and beat scenes (he was one of the first to jot down all the folk lyrics and traveled in troubadoor style with guitar and jug wine long before it became the thing to do). Maybe he just got too good and too popular and that seemed unforgiveable to the ink fish (great expression).
Fasnacht always brings me around to Hamlet, but you’re not going to get me doing soliloquys… so I did the next best thing. Here’s another Hamlet drawing:
