The Advisor is a small but influential review of web technologies run by a highly respected <a href=\"http:\/\/www.charlestonco.com\/info\/who.cfm\">coterie<\/a> of librarians and information professionals, who also hold an important annual <a href=\"http:\/\/www.katina.info\/conference\/General%20Information.htm?pageId=1\">conference<\/a> in (you guessed it) Charleston, South Carolina. We&#8217;ve been chosen for our work on the networked book:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>The Institute for the Future of the Book is providing a creative new paradigm for monographic production as books move from print to the screen. This includes integration of multimedia, interviews with authors and inviting readers to comment on draft manuscripts.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>A special award also went to Peter Suber for his tireless service on the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.earlham.edu\/~peters\/fos\/fosblog.html\">Open Access News<\/a> blog and the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.arl.org\/sparc\/soa\/index.html#forum\">SPARC Open Access Forum<\/a>.
