House of Cards

A couple from a series of drawings I’m doing on some old abstract Xmas cards my dad did in the sixties I think. He made a white embossed card, I’m adding color, etc.

In My Father's Woods

Trying to “restore” my dad’s old Front Woods Frame sculpture; from the late sixties/ early 70’s about… back when Concrete puplic sculpture was all the rage, or about to be. I think my dad was still working at an add agency in Manhattan commuting by silver Mustang and he made these projects on the weekend. Now they are cracked and chipping… tomorrow they should look a little cleaner. They get a sort of WWII bunker look in their cleaned state… which I rather fancy, but I know my mother won’t… nor would the artist perhaps? Mash up of John and Brian rare takes.

California Nostalgia

These vids, vj together in interesting ways. Perhaps bigger than the sum of their spider parts. Finally getting around to dealing with old footage to send off to Victoria as I promised her months ago. To be fair, I told her it would probably not be till we were done with the end of Zipperhead and tomorrow is the last show. YOU SHOULD COME if you haven’t already.

Haunted Collaboration

The stencil is from my friends Open To The Hound, who are doing a musical of Hansel and Gretal and we put ups some posters and then I’ve been collaborating with the dear dead dad on some embossed cards he made in the seventies some time… or earlier? He and I share a birthday which is coming up in thirty minutes as I write this. I’m having such sad fun.
