The admin bar in WordPress 3.1
As you may by now know, WordPress 3.1 has been released. If you upgrade a Commentpress-enabled site to the latest version, then you may also notice that, when you are logged in, the WordPress admin bar and the Commentpress tool bar compete for space at the top of the browser window.
Until such time as we can rewrite the Commentpress theme to accommodate the admin bar, it seems sensible to disable it. To that end, there is a new version of Commentpress available for download.

Hi David, thanks for the report. There used to be a popup warning but I see that it is now gone. I will post a fix in due course and notify you.

I have been using Commentpress for a while – latest project (not yet commenced but listed here as website). Also used when reviewing submitted journal papers. A handy way to add comments, though it doesn’t complteely replace reading the physicall copy.
A fairly significant operational issue that I have encountered is that one can write a comment relating to a paragraph and, either inadvertently or, in enthusiastic haste, click on another paragraph before submitting the comment just written.
The written comment is then lost!
A small tweak/update would be to add a user warning when clicking outside the pending comment. For example:’please submit current comment before starting a new one’.
